I love being a tourist

I've tried to talk about everything we did in New York in my previous posts but since we did so much I probably left some pictures out!

Thought I'd share some of my favourite photos with you from the city that never sleeps.

It will be my aim in life to live there one day. I literally fell in love with New York all over again.

Hello Brooklyn

This was such a loooong day but it was so cool! We got the ferry across to Williamsburg and had a wander round. It's so arty and indie which I liked because it was a completely different side to Central New York.

We went shopping and then found a really cute little market space which was indoors! It was really similar to Chelsea Markets but with bit more of an edge...

AHH we had the best bagels around! That was something else we could tick off our food list..along with an American diner and a pizza slice!

We didn't stay in Williamsburg for too long as we wanted to head over to Brooklyn museum to see the Jean Paul Gaultier and it was actually AMAZING!! I was pretty freaked out but the talking mannequins at first but then I began to love it. It was also really deceiving because the rooms were never ending and they were all so totally different to each other.

My favourite room was the first and last. I just love clothing which has so much detail like beading and embellishment and these two rooms included clothing which really stood out to me.

Safe to say I NEVER wanted to leave! :(

Chelsea, Chelsea

Before we made the best decision ever to invest in a subway pass we walked from our hotel to Chelsea..not too far but in those minus temperatures it felt like I was walking through the North Pole! On the plus we got to see the sights and it was soo nice! I was really keen to go to Chelsea Markets but they were 100 times better/nicer than what I expected!! I am a huge sucker for cute little stores and Chelsea markets had a lottt of those!

The shop in the pictures above (I can't remember the name!) was literally THE cutest! soo many nice biscuits and sweets to choose from. I'm surprised I didn't walk out of there with hundreds of bags in my arms!

After tiring our self out from a huuuge walk and shopping we went to a traditional American Diner which is something we were all dying to do while we were in NYC! A few of us had meatball sliders and they were delicious!! Although they were no were near as good as the oreo milkshake! I'm getting cravings just writing about it!

We went to the 9/11 memorial after Chelsea and it's literally heart wrenching. When I went before quite a few years back the memorial was still under construction so it was literally just a building site so it was completely different this time. It really makes you realise how much it impacted America and how it made them a family.
